THE CAGE provides individualized baseball and fastpitch softball training and batting cage rentals for athletes of all age groups. Our training and positive environment promote growth and confidence in athletes to help them reach their full potential and peak athletic performance. We are committed to developing athletes through outstanding instruction and mentoring. We’re conveniently located in Jamestown, NY.

We are a non-biased training facility (have elected to not have facility teams). We have chosen to operate and focus on a single mission to better serve our clients. We are neutral, without bias, and with complete interest in each athlete as an individual. We strive to make every client and team who patronizes our business feel welcomed and know we are here as a trusted resource to help you reach your goals. 

All Athletes Welcome – We invite and welcome athletes of all age groups, skill levels, and leagues. We are here for new and seasoned athletes who need to correct mechanics, want to be better prepared for their season/tryouts, need a tune-up during the season.

Instruction/Lessons – The most effective way for a player to improve their game is through private lessons. Every player has unique goals and needs; we provide 1 to 1 personalized attention.   Our instructors are dedicated to helping each player maximize their individual skill levels.  Reach the next level and refine skills in hitting, pitching, fielding, throwing and catching. Additionally, our instructors explain mindset, character, mental toughness, integrity, self-esteem and work ethic. Semi-private lessons (2 athletes per session) are also available for those interested in splitting the price.

Instructors – They all provide a system of instruction, principles, continuity, and are the overall guiding component of the environment we provide to help develop athletes to their utmost potential.

Batting Cage Rentals – Rent a cage to train on your own. Sharpen your skills, gear up for the season or take some swings before your games. The cages are rented by half hour or full hour. The cage rental includes a tee, protective L-screen and all the balls you need. A pitching machine and pitching mound/mat is provided upon request and at no additional charge.

Team Practices/Full Facility Rental – We have what you need for practice and skill development of your players in a group/team environment. Cages can be retracted to provide an open area for infield work, we have numerous buckets of balls, L screens, pitching mound, Pitching machines (baseball and softball), bats etc.

We Also Offer – Small Group Lessons, Camps and Clinics

Inclement Weather Policy – The Cage reserves the right to postpone any session due to weather. Make-up sessions will be scheduled at the earliest possible day and time.

Waiver Forms – A parental signature is required if the athlete is under 18 years old.
